We like to keep you updated on all the latest developments, news and anything Ding Day related. Here are the goodies...
Ding Day made its way off the streets yesterday and onto the airwaves of London thanks to the Danny Baker show on BBC Radio London 94.9. Yesterdays show was hosted by Gary Crowley and special guest Gary Kemp, both loved the day with cycling enthusiast Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet fame vowing to buy a bell especially for the day. If you were not listening yesterday you can here the clip below.
We would love to send a big thanks to all the Ding Day supporters out there who have shown their support and helped to spread the word.

Here at Ding Day we aren’t quite up to Olympic team standard but we are extremely pleased to welcome the support of multi-medal winning cyclist Chris Hoy. The Great British cycling team has done an amazing job at the Beijing Olympics with a collection of medals that once again brought the excitement and joys of cycling to a wider audience.

“...About as much fun as you can have on a bike without winning a medal. The team spirit of this day is what grabbed me, it is all about building a community that is open to everyone.”
We would love to thank all the fellow cyclist we met when handing out flyers at the Tour de Hackney - part of the Shoreditch Festival on Sunday. We had a great day and there was lots of enthusiasm and support for Ding Day.
Additionally want to thank the LCC who have shown their support from the very beginning of the campaign, their chief executive had this to say about Ding Day:
“...An antidote to road rage and street misery. Ding to spread some infectious good will and celebrate the joy of cycling.”
There has been lots happening over the last week at Ding Day towers, we have had a meeting with The London Cycling Campaign (LCC) who are lovely people and fully support Ding Day.
We have also got the support from the Boris Johnson - Mayor of London who had this to say about Ding Day:
“...Cycling is one of the best ways to get around the capital - it is quick, environmentally friendly, cheap, and healthy. That’s why I’ve launched London’s ‘Summer of Cycling’ and ‘Ding Day’ is a welcome addition to spreading the word about the joys of cycling.”
As you may have also seen we have redesigned the site so it is a little more organised and a lot happier - we now have clouds and rays of sunlight to brighten up your day. There is also the addition of a section where you can tell us what Ding Day will mean to you. But don't think that is it for us and we willbe sitting back and resting our weary muscles, this is just the beginning!!!
Our campaign is in full flow and we are very pleased to thank the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) for showing their support in Ding Day. The LCC are a staple part of the london cycling scene, check out their website for full details about the charity and one of the most comprehensive London cycling events calenders.
You can now keep up to date with all the latest news and updates from Ding Day via our RSS feed.
We are all very excited as we await the arrival of the theme tune for Ding Day and in true Ding Day style it could only be performed on the bicycle bell.
The lovely people of the Bicycle Bell Ensemble (BBE) have very kindly agreed to compose a piece for us.
The BBE are a group of bell ringers - not the type of you usually find milling around at village fetes talking about marmalade, these are cycle loving musicians and artists that enjoy to spread the sound of the bicycle bell and perform their own musical compostitions on the move.
The Ding Days website and our online presence is growing daily, you can now keep up to date with all our latest happenings in picture form on Flickr, where you can also download exclusive wallpapers for your iPhone to help show your support.
We will be adding new content and features to the website continually. In the meantime you can join us on Facbook and Twitter.
